Poetry for a Cause

Hi! My name is Arjun Nair, and I am twelve years old. I love reading and writing, especially if I can do it while giving back to my community. My new collection of poems, More Than Just a Clear Sky, takes us on a captivating journey where we follow the migration of monarch butterflies and meet a person so tall that their head could bump into the moon. We converse with a clock and build a new home inside a wooden staircase. But the love at the heart of these poems—for family, friends, and the “brilliant blue world” around us—turns this book into an inspiring call to action and a dream for the future.

Every child should have a fair chance to live a healthy life, and the Children’s Miracle Network helps to do just that. Twelve million children in the US and Canada are saved by this organization, where funds support children with life-saving treatments and critical health services. To support this cause, I am donating 100% of the proceeds from my book to the Children's Hospital of Richmond, a partner of the Miracle Network. Together, we can give every child the opportunities they deserve, one word at a time.
