Why We Choose This Project

Did you know that in the whole state of South Carolina, there are only four children's hospitals? We are fortunate enough to have one of these four hospitals less than an hour away from us​. Bennettsville Primary School serves over 600 students from pre-school to third grade. We understand the importance of keeping young students healthy and safe and are thankful we have this resource in our region. McLeod Children's Hospital holds a special place in our hearts, as many of our students and our own family members have benefited from their outstanding service, compassion, and love.

McLeod Children's Hospital ensures children in our area get the very best care through Board Certified Pediatricians who specialize in the care of hospitalized babies and children. McLeod Children’s Hospital in Florence cares for more than 56,000 children a year in our Pee Dee region. McLeod Children's hospital offers Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care and other unique children’s health services such as pediatric cardiology, pediatric critical care, pediatric endocrinology, and pediatric orthopedic surgery. A specially equipped ChildReach Ambulance stands ready to transport newborns and children to McLeod Children’s Hospital in Florence.

There are two ways to help BPS reach our goal! You can follow the directions provided on this page to donate to our "BPS Children's Miracle Network" team or you can send money/change to school with your student to be collected by your child's teacher.
